These fifth grade students worked hard to figure out the answer to this question.  In the pictures you can see them developing models to explain what caused the Dust Bowl.  

There was a drought!!

Students had a GREAT discussion today trying to figure out what caused the drought in 1934.  We'll have to do a little more investigation to completely answer this question.  Here is what we know so far.

Mrs. Urda's class worked on revising their models today.  They are using models to help them figure out what caused the dust bowl.  They completed their first mystery and figured out that the area has very little water.  This is another piece to the puzzle..... What caused the dust bowl?
